Title: Varranger Presets?
Post by: orgfred65 on March 07, 2019, 04:41:01 PM
Does Varranger support a method of creating multiple registrations, then switching between these by sending appropriate midi messages?

Home organs commonly have a set of pistons that can each contain full settings for chosen sounds. Yamaha EL series have 8 or 16 buttons. It would be great if Varranger settings could change as the Yamaha pistons are pressed.

Thanks.

Hi,

For now it is a bit different in vArranger than on Yamaha.

You save a preset for the 5 right (or manual 1) tracks with SAVE RIGHT SOUND
You save a preset for the 3 left (or manual 2) tracks with SAVE LEFT SOUND
You save a song that can recall the settings of the 8 arrangers tracks + the right and left (or manual 1 and 2) saved presets with SAVE SONG

So 3 steps for saving, 1 step for recall , but you can reuse your SOUND PRESETS for many different songs, or use the saved sound preset for left or right (or manual 1/2) tracks

Thanks Dan,
Looking at the manual, it seems that Varranger lets you save multiple songs. Is there a way to select different saved songs over midi?

Actually, you can select by midi : the 10 current displayed songs, the song folders, next song, previous song in the folder, or in the current playlist.
Will probably add later a by song midi selection
