Hello everybody,
I am new in this forum 'cause I am thinking of using varranger as a more flexible tool compared to the hardware arrangers I used so far (Pa4x and Genos).
So I am serously thinking of getting rid of at least the Genos and getting a 88key Kronos instead (better keybed for me and unlimited sound possibilities).
I have not found so much in this forum regarding Kronos / Varranger - combinations. Are there experiences with that combination. How difficult is it, to set up varranger for using the Kronos as its sound source, for example?
Kind regards - Franziska
I own a kronos..
Kronos ext section is perfect for controlling external gear, which varranger also is..
Make sure to use a korg nanopad, connected to the kronos..
I think it works best with the Varranger synth.. and not with the kronos gm sounds... as the soundsource
I am not a fan of using the gm mode on the kronos
Thank you, Bachus :)
I was already thinking of adding a Nanopad - now I know my thougths were going in the right direction.
By the way, after playing the Kronos again at my local store yesterday for several hours, I ordered the 88-key model (not the LS, I prefer weighted keybeds).
I don't have a Kronos myself.
For vArranger, better to go for the NanoKontrol2 connected to the computer
Is it possible to select Kronos sounds from midi bank & program changes on the 16 midi channels ? if yes, you can then use the kronos sounds for the styles or melody tracks
