Title: Pitch/Mod wheel emulation
Post by: DjTony1981 on April 16, 2018, 03:16:04 PM
Hi Dan, i've a new keyboard (PSR-E363) with no pitch/mod controller. Can you add a little window with two wheel that emulate this control (or more configurable CC event)). Thanks.

I second your request. I would also like this. My 3 manual organ project which will run exclusively on vArranger2, does not have Pitch or modulation wheel function, so some CC's for this will really be awesome.

My CME Xkey Air 37 has two buttons: PITCH BAND + and PITCH BAND -.
Pitch bend message is sent continuously while the button is pressed.
Pitch period: This timing is the time interval between previous and next Pitch bend message.
This could be set in the range 10ms to 200 ms. The default value is 16ms.

But now I found that the X-key buttons are touch sensitive.
The smoothness of the bending would have to be created by the program.

My midi interface does not have this function.  It can only send Note On / Note Off messages, and CC messages.

So I'm hoping that Dan will create some controller in vArranger, that one could assign buttons too, e.g., the Joystick would make a great pitch-bend controller, as it is self centreing and spring loaded, just like on the keyboards that have them built in.  It will really be fabulous to have this function available, for those of use who use midi interfaces that do not natively supply this function.
