Few weeks ago I found interesting Winamp DSP plugin Enhancer.
Here is the original plugin site:
http://www.i-adrian.home.ro/
And here are some comments to this plugin.
https://winampheritage.com/plugin/enhancer-017/81361
I started thinking about whether there is a way how to use it as vst effect in vArranger.
I tried to contact Adrian Iosif - the author of this plugin, but without a success.
Then I found interesting program: Winamp DSP effects hoster for VST hosts:
https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,55441.0.html
Unfortunately it can't work with the Enhancer.
So I contacted the author of the Winamp DSP effects hoster.
He tried to find the solution.
Here is the newer version of his hoster (with the source code):
http://psycle.free.fr/josepma/wa_dsp_host.zip
But it is still not working.
Dan, (or anyone others) could you look at the source code please?
Maybe you could find a solution.
What is the error message?
Is it all 64 bit or all 32 bit (vAsynth + winamp hoster + winamp plugin)?
I use 32 bit versions. (for all)
Today I found other VST host, that works with the Enhancer:
http://www.xlutop.com/buzz/zip/winampvst_dsp.zip
I recorded a simple demo. (Song name: Ohne v udoli)
It's recorded directly using vArranger.
I used my own soundfont collection and the Adrian Iosif's Enhancer DSP Plugin (hosted by winampvst)
Sounds very good !
What SF2 is this violin coming from?
The original was AAViolin(Triples)X-layer.sf2
But I rebuilt it.
- export all the samples as wav file
- fix some out of tune bugs (using Pitch Drift Tool in Melodine)
- replace the original samples by the edited one
- finding loops for the samples (Using Awave Studio)
- alaining some velocities using Viena Soundfont Editor
