Title: Hardware buttons and faders
Post by: sweetbb on February 13, 2018, 12:18:03 PM
On my midi encoder, there is the posibility of using up to 64 'notes' per channel.  My vArranger console, will only use 49 notes per manual, leaving 15 'notes' unused on given channels.  The pedal section also only has 13 notes. leaving another 51 unused 'notes' on that channel.  I would like to use these unused inputs, for control messages.  For example, I would like to assign vArranger2 functions to these buttons. My question is: If I assign note number 14 on the pedal section, will vArranger not try to play a note, or will it perform the assigned function, or will it try to do both?

The assigned note in the controller screen will have the priority, and the note will not produce any sound

Thank you Dan. That is very exciting news. It means I will have a button for every practical function of vArranger2.
