Title: vasynth as daw sound source
Post by: n9bhd on June 30, 2017, 01:08:46 PM
Hi all!  Is there a way to use the vasynth included with varranger as a sound source for my daw which is Reaper?  Thanks in advance, Vic.

You want vArrangerSynth as Sound Engine for Reaper DAW !!!
vArrangerSynth can't be use like other software instruments or
VSTi PlugIns. I see only one chance to make that, but it is only
one chance. I have to check Reaper if it can do what you need.
After that we shall see.

Thanks agaton for your reply.  The reason I'm looking to do this is I no longer have any hardware sound modules and would like to be able to import the song chord midi file from varranger and "hear" the varranger synth as I edit or add parts within Reaper.  I really like the varranger synth concept Dan has provided!  Vic.

Yes, it is very good that you can have by editing the same sounds
like on a Style Player. That could work it is not a big problem.

Hello, if your soundbank is in soundfont format you can use a vsti as SFZ http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?id=217 (freeware) or Samplelord http://www.samplelord.com/ (not free).

Exactly, now Bassmidi is in vsti format, perhaps it's the better choice.
