What sound sources to you use together with Varranger?
SD2, Other or both SD2 and other?
How do you think it works with other sound sources than SD2 or with addon sound sources together with SD2?

I use Ketron's SD2 Unit. I also tried Roland's BK-7M which did work but did not produce nearly the sound quality of the SD2 unit.

Many Yamaha and Roland styles will play good on any GM sound source.
Ketron styles are playing good with the Ketron SD2 only (for now)
Appart for the Ketron SD2/SD1000, I think the future is a 100% software solution.
I am providing now a realtime Synth (beta) to go with vArranger.
The sounds are basic for now, but it is working very good, without need any hardware module, or pro sound card.
I will then improve the sound table. Going the sampling route, or finding a deal with samples company
